Image Watermark — Protect and Brand Your Photos
Your images are your work, and sharing them online always carries the risk of unauthorized use. Watermarking is the standard solution — a semi-transparent overlay that claims ownership while keeping the image viewable. PikDraw's watermark tool adds text or image watermarks with precise control over placement, opacity, and coverage, right in your browser.
What is the Watermark Large Images - Any Size?
PikDraw's watermark tool composites text or image overlays onto your photos. You control the content (text or logo), position (corner, center, or tiled), opacity (transparency level), size, and angle. The watermark is permanently fused with the image on download, making it an effective deterrent against unauthorized use.
Key features
- Text watermarks with custom font, size, and color
- Image/logo watermarks from any PNG upload
- Adjustable opacity from barely visible to strong
- Positioning: corners, center, or full tiled coverage
- Rotation angle for diagonal placement
- Files up to 50MB supported
- Browser-based — images stay private
- No signup, no limits
How it works
For text watermarks, the tool renders your text on the Canvas using the selected font, color, and size with the specified opacity. For image watermarks, your logo PNG is drawn onto the Canvas at the chosen position with adjusted globalAlpha (opacity). Tiled mode repeats the watermark in a grid pattern across the entire image, typically at a 45° angle. This creates comprehensive coverage that can't be defeated by cropping a corner. The final composited image is exported with the watermark permanently embedded — the original pixels under the watermark are blended with the overlay and cannot be separated.
Why use this tool
Watermarking in Photoshop or Lightroom requires actions, batch processing setup, and careful opacity management. PikDraw gives you a focused watermarking tool where you upload, customize, and download — the fastest path from unprotected image to branded, protected output.

How to get started
Upload your image, enter your watermark text (or upload a logo PNG), adjust position and opacity, and download the protected version.
Best practices
- Place watermarks over important content areas — watermarks on empty backgrounds are easily cropped
- Tiled diagonal watermarks provide the strongest protection against removal
- 30-50% opacity balances visibility with protection for most use cases
- Use white text with a subtle shadow for readability over any background
- Keep your original unwatermarked files securely stored — the watermark is permanent
Pro tips
- Use 30-50% opacity for watermarks that protect without ruining the image.
- Diagonal tiled watermarks are hardest to crop or remove.
- White text with a slight drop shadow works over any background.
- Place watermarks over important areas of the image, not empty backgrounds.
Limitations to be aware of
- No watermark is truly removal-proof — determined editors can clone-stamp or AI-inpaint over them
- Watermark is permanent once downloaded — no editing or removal after saving
- No batch watermarking — one image at a time
- Text watermarks use browser-available fonts
- Very small or very transparent watermarks may not provide meaningful protection
